Eastern Botanical Masculine Card

Eastern Botanical Masculine Card

Welcome, Welcome!

Today I am taking part in my first ever blog hop!! Yippee! I am so happy that you get to share this moment with me!

This group of ladies, Amy’s Inkin’ Krew, are an awesome group. I even got to meet some of them at Stampin’ Up’s Onstage Live event we just had in Salt Lake City, Utah. Now if that event, & meeting the ladies, wasn’t an absolute BLAST!!! If you ever get the chance to go to one of Stampin’ Up’s events, by all means take it!

Anywhoo, now to today’s blog hop….enjoy!

Today’s card starts with a card base of Fresh Fig card stock. On this I added some Eastern Palace Specialty DSP , adhering it with Snail. Be sure to cut it so the stripes are going the correct direction. I regularly forget to check and end up with an “extra” card front piece. LOL

The raised card front also uses the Fresh Fig card stock with a piece of Tranquil Tide card stock.

On the Tranquil Tide I used the Botanicals for You stamp set and some of the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder,  using my heat tool. Do your heat embossing BEFORE you adhere the Tranquil Tide to the Fresh Fig matte. Also, the Embossing Buddy is AWESOME for keeping extra areas of volunteer embossing powder from sticking around. Just wipe your card stock piece with it before stamping with Versamark ink and your embossing will come out neat and clean.

To make it pop a little I added some of the tiny Eastern Gold Foil stickers.

I then adhered the matted piece onto the base with Stampin Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Botanicals for You stamp set in Tranquil Tide ink right on the card base itself. Then to jazz it up a bit I added one of the large foil stickers around the sentiment. Press and smooth the sticker where it goes over the letters a bit so you can see the letters that it covers better.

There you go, easy peesy as sliced bread.

To see a list of the card stock cuts and items used please scroll down to the bottom of this post.

Daisy Delight with Pretty Label

Welcome, glad you could join me today!

If you like daisies, you’re gonna love this card.

I used Daisy Delight, Flourishing Phrases, and Background Bits photo-polymer stamp sets along with the Pretty Label Punch.
Did you know that you can get 10% off the Label Me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label punch if you order them in the BUNDLE? You sure can! The Daisy Delight Bundle is also available. See these two bundles down at the bottom of this post under “Items Used in this post.” I love bundles, and who doesn’t love saving $$? There are a number of other bundles in the NEW Annual Catalog. Check my side bar and check them all out come June 1st. If you just can’t wait until then, shoot me a message and I will get one into your hot little stampin hands.

Now on to the card…

To start with I used Whisper White card stock as my base. On this I stamped the Daisy stamp from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Calypso Coral-stamping off once on that last one. The little centers are also in Daffodil Delight. The leaves are two-step stamps. I first stamped the colored part of the leaf in Old Olive-stamped off once, then did the outline in full-strength Old Olive. Don’t worry if you don’t line them up perfectly, it looks good anyway you line them up.

I also added some of the NEW Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon across the center of the front.

This ribbon is versatile, it has the little X’s on one side, like you see on the card, then the other side is like little dashes in two parallel rows. How cute is that?
Now the label here may sound little tricky at first, but really isn’t if you take your time (and hold your tongue just right – lol).

First you’ll punch out one Whisper White card stock label with the Pretty Label punch, then two more out of Old Navy card stock. On the Whisper White label I used the stippled-looking stamp from the Background Bits stamp set with the New Tranquil Tide Classic ink pad. It’s one of our NEW 2017-2019 In-Colors. And they are all AWESOME!! I’m really loving this set of colors. (You will see more of them in later posts.) It will take a few stampings to cover the entire label. I also used the Tranquil Tide Stampin Write Marker to go around the edges of the label to make it pop a little more. I then stamped the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set in Calypso Coral- full strength on the now Tranquil Tide label piece.

Here comes the tricky part:

You will need to take both of the Old Olive labels and layer them one on top of the other, one slightly above the other trying to keep the left and right edges together in such a way that the two “humps” look like one kinda larger “hump.”I adhered mine with Snail Adhesive once I got them just right.

Then snail the sentiment piece to the Old Olive piece.

I added the label to the card front with a couple of Stampin Dimentionals, and there you go, the front of the card is complete.

The inside is a strip of the NEW Daffodil Delight layered on to a strip of Old Olive card stock. I then grabbed a smidge of the Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon, folded it into a little loop and put a rolled up Glue Dot in between where the ribbon crosses itself to hold it together. I adhered it to the layered strip with another rolled up Glue Dot to hold it tight. I ran some Snail Adhesive along the length of the strip, right over the ribbon and placed at the bottom, inside of the card.

All done and what a beauty!

If you don’t already have a demonstrator to order your supplies through, I would love to fill that space. You can order straight from my online store by clicking the icon on the right side bar over there.

April Paper Pumpkin Kit

Here are some pictures of the April Paper Pumpkin kit. It is a special one because our very own  Stampin’ Up CEO, Sara designed it.

Look at all those goodies! Black Envelopes, black card bases, even little acrylic glittery flowers! Wait until you see the finished cards!

Can you see the resist details on the piece there by the little paint brush? The heart shape also has this. You’ll have a good look at how that “works” when you see the finished cards here in a bit…

Here is that resist with the water coloring you do with the fantastic colored pencils included with the kit. And there is one of the flowers. The washi tape is also included.

Here is the inside of the card.I just “made up” the designs for the insides. Just gotta use that imagination, and my own style for that part.

Here’s a closer look at the glittery acrylic flowers

I guess I should give you a good glimpse of the stamp set. That’s kind of a major part of the kit wouldn’t you say?

I got 14 pieces in this photo-polymer set. That makes placing them quite easy-peesy!

If you’re liking what you see so far, you can always sign up for the monthly little box of happiness for yourself. This exact set has already been sent, but I know the one for next month will be wonderful. Every month’s kit is wonderful, but don’t just take my word for it. Try one out for yourself. If you like it, then sign up for more!

On with the cards….

Wondering what the little colored stuff under each card? That’s the card liners inside the envelopes. There are 4 different designs. I love these!

Here is another resist piece, and some more of the sparkly flowers, and another design inside the envelope along with the inside of the card.

Hope you have enjoyed what you’ve seen here today.

If you don’t currently have a demonstrator for you Stampin’ Up needs, I would love to fill that gap and help you out in whatever way I can.

Take care, and Happy Stampin’!

Here we go again…

I just moved my blog from a host that wasn’t able to supply what I needed, to another host. Unfortunately in the move, all my settings and everything was lost. Now I have to rebuild the whole site. So please be patient with me as I work on this. I am not the most tech-savvy one in my house so this will be a work in progress until I get it looking comfy for me and hopefully pleasing and easy to navigate for you.

Thank you for your patience!
